Tree huggers, we were not

Here’s a follow-up to the Christmas cracker story (Saturday #26).

This photo was taken five years before I was born so my memory of the day is a bit foggy, but here my brothers Eric and Wayne pose with what was undoubtedly one of our better Christmas trees.

What it lacked in symmetry it certainly made up in sheer bulk. At least it was a better tree than the one Archie and Edith had in this classic clip from All In The Family, circa 1971.

Hi mike. I think this would be about 1957 do you see the new Seebreeze record player behind me? Have a good New Years.

I figured 1957 based on how old you and Wayne appeared to be, hence my guess that it was five years before I was born. I remember the record player but don’t recall the Seabreeze brand. Definitely slipping.
